Sani Lodge is 100% owned and operated by the indigenous Kichwa community of Sani Isla. It is located on the shores of a tranquil lagoon and wrapped in 98,000 acres of rainforest that is full of monkeys, manatees, sloths and more than 550 species of birds. This is a sustainable, welcoming lodge that combines simple comfort and nature wonderfully that has been recognised for its ‘green’ efforts. Be part of the extended Kinchwa community; given its strong ties to the community, a stay here is perfect for those that would like a slight emphasis on cultural experiences. Sani also offers specialist birdwatching excursions and the much-loved ‘safari-style’ Amazonian experiences. The lodge has 13 en suite bungalows that are basic but comfortable with private terraces, hot showers and mosquito netting on the beds. The lodge also works well for families with larger multi-bed cabins and family-friendly excursions.
