The iconic Kwara Camp is known as one of the best in Botswana and indeed in Africa for big game viewing attracting visitors from all over the world. With access to a myriad of water ways, as well as huge tracts of dry land, this is a superb all-round camp and ideal for safari enthusiasts and first-time visitors alike. The camp has eight traditionally styled tents, which have been raised up on their own decking areas to afford lovely views out to the nearby lagoon. Thick canvas walls covered by thatched rooves help to keep the tents cool and dry during the summer. The open air, en-suite bathrooms have showers and free-standing baths. The stunning view from the main lodge entices many guests to arrive well before meal times, and linger long afterwards to enjoy the sights and sounds on offer. Pre-dinner drinks around the campfire are a ritual at Kwara and are a great time to share tales of your time in the bush. The location and nearby terrain mean Kwara is ideally suited to both driving and boating safaris, including excursions in traditional mokoro canoes. This camp is very popular so we recommend booking a year in advance.
