Duma Tau Camp, which means “roar of the lion” is found on the banks of Osprey Lagoon on the Linyanti River and is aptly named as the lion sightings in the area are excellent. With eight twin or double rooms and two family units, this is a small sized camp with a friendly atmosphere and a fantastic personal service. The rooms are all spacious and comfortable, with thick canvas walls and timber frames, covered decking areas at the front of each room with en-suite bathrooms boasting indoor and outdoor showers. The main area of the lodge has a huge open lounge and dining area, plunge pool and floating fire deck which is a unique feature and very popular with guests. Weather permitting there is also a sleep-out deck which allows guests to spend a night beneath the stars; a truly memorable experience. The majority of activities here are land based with walks and both day and night drives available; additionally, if water levels permit, boat safaris are also offered. Specialised birding safaris and seasonal fishing trips can also be arranged.
