The old 1940s ranch house of Sosian is one of the most iconic properties in Kenya and a superb place to spend your time whilst in this stunning part of the country. Small and boasting wonderful personal service, a stay here is highly recommended when planning a trip to Kenya. There are seven well-appointed and spacious cottages, including a two-bedroom family cottage. All of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms and full amenities are provided. The comfortable rooms have a very traditional feel to them in keeping with the lodge’s history as a ranch house. The main part of the lodge is raised up off the lawns and houses the dining room, lounge and bar area. The wrap-around veranda is a great spot to sit in the afternoons and watch the world go by. The inviting swimming pool offers a welcome relief from the heat of the day and staff are always on hand to serve drinks around the pool. The food here is superb and a real feature of a stay at Sosian. As well as game drives and walks, horse-riding safaris, camel treks, overnight fly-camping in the bush and ranching activities can also be enjoyed..
