Chateau Mere, Telavi

Before even stepping into Chateau Mere, you will be impressed by the fortress design. The hotel is set within a stone castle yet has all the modern facilities of a four-star hotel. To reflect the wine making history of Telavi, the hotel produces its own staple wines in its traditional Georgian wine cellar which, of course, can be tasted and paired with Georgian cuisine at the restaurant. Every step of the wine process is explored here with grape picking and crushing activities during harvest season (September). Take a stroll through the gardens to see the beautiful towers, before reaching the outdoor pool, surrounded by decorative castle arches which complement the view perfectly. The ultimate viewpoint must be from the rooftop jacuzzi, a perfect accompaniment with a drink from the bar.
