Hotel Rating
Our rating: Ultra | Property style: Tented Camp
Jack’s Camp effortlessly combines the luxuries of a modern safari with the elegance of traditional safaris to create one of Botswana’s most unique and sought-after camps. Located on the shimmering Makgadikgadi salt flats, a stay here allows guests to enjoy the area’s stunning landscapes and unique desert adapted wildlife. The camp is comprised of 10 tents, all of which are incredibly spacious and stylish with thick carpets, comfortable furnishings and decorations giving the lodge a strong 1940’s safari vibe. The en-suite bathrooms offer both indoor and outdoor showers, and a shaded area at the front of each tent to relax and enjoy the views. The main area has plenty of comfortable sofas, a snooker table and a tented swimming pool, which is very popular to relax under during the day and gaze out over the plains. The cuisine here is exquisite, with all meals served a la carte offering plenty of variety and using fresh ingredients. The habituated meerkats are a huge draw for guests but there is a variety of other adapted wildlife to see and, during the green season, there is a zebra and wildebeest migration; the second largest in Africa.
