Set amongst the blue pine forests of the Thimphu Valley, the Amankora Thimpu provides a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Bhutanese capital. The Dzong-style architecture incorporates a total of 16 elegantly appointed suites that include wood-panelled walls, a wood burning stove and a terrazzo-clad bath. The living and dining areas feature soaring ceilings and an outdoor dining deck that affords views of the nearby stream and the surrounding forest. The hotel also offers a spa and steam room and a chance to try your hand at archery, fishing and white water rafting.
