Tea Around the World
Let's celebrate the most consumed beverage in the world (excluding water): tea!
21st May is International Tea Day, as proclaimed by the UN, and honours the incredible significance this drink carries globally. Tea plays a meaningful role in many parts of society, from a warming, compassionate cup offered to a weary traveller, signalling them to rest and relax, to the essential industry that provides a source of income, jobs, and export opportunities for some of the poorest countries.
Not to mention that drinking tea promotes health and wellbeing with its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects! It also has a cultural significance in many countries; check out our infographic below to learn about local teas, how they're made and some of their incredible properties.
