Funny Old World: Comedy Wildlife Edition

The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards are celebrating ten years of howl-worthy animal snaps and we've enjoyed laughing along at the incredible entries for almost as long. So we just had to get involved. We asked the team to send in their funniest animal photos from their travels…

Camels are a pretty big deal in Saudi Arabia, so much so that they hold camel beauty contests (big eyes, fluttering lashes, pouty lips, curves in all the ‘wrong’ places…makes perfect sense) to crown the queen!

Our Head of Ops, Sarah, blessed this gorgeous creature ‘Naomi Camel-bell’ who, much to her dismay, had not entered any such competition, but she sure takes the palm-leaf crown in our books!

No paparazzi please! Our Travel Specialist, Kenny, snapped this camera-shy elephant while travelling in Botswana. If there's one thing we know about elephants, it's that she won't be forgetting this invasive betrayal anytime soon…

When our Travel Expert, Rachel, visited her family's farm in New South Wales, they woke up to find a neighbour getting a little too comfortable cooling off in their swimming pool! He soon got the hint and hopped off…

Rachel found that the monkeys of Indonesia are just as relaxed in their attitude…too relaxed, some might say…

In the wild lands of the Masaai Mara in Kenya, Travel consultant, Jess, discovered that no matter the species, if the kids are around, mum won't get a moment of peace…

Our Content Manager, Hayley, found an ingenious way to waste time in Madagascar: teaching lemurs table manners.

Ops Manager, Ruby, didn't want to pass judgment on how stinky this seal in Namibia was, but the look of disgust on his face suggested he wasn't offering her the same kindness.

Our MD, Clare, assures us that she encountered this fearsome lion on her travels in Tanzania. We have to tread carefully - after all, she is the boss - but we just have some questions, that's all…
