Visit the Mary Regional Museum
Visit the Regional Museum which showcases a wide array of archaeological finds dating as far back as the 3rd millennium BC. As well as relics from Ancient Merv, the museum has interesting ethnographic displays showing scenes of daily life of the Bronze Age.
Relive ancient history at Gonur Depe
Explore this splendid site covering an area of 125km and containing the ruins of at least five ancient walled cities from different eras. Most of the glorious structures have all but vanished, lost to the vast desert landscape, but the memory lives on.
