Day 1 Arrive in Siem Reap, Temple Sunset
On arrival into Siem Reap you will be greeted by your Wild Frontiers representative and transferred directly to your hotel for check in. After settling in and freshening up, your guide will take you out to the temples where you can watch your first magical sunset.
Day 2 Siem Reap: Temple Highlights
Wake up early and head to Angkor Wat for sunrise and a morning tour of the temple before the crowds arrive. Mid-morning enjoy your delicious packed breakfast before continuing to some of the smaller temples in the complex, including Ta Prohm Temple, where Banyon trees grow through the temple walls. Return to your hotel for a break and in the afternoon head back to the temples to visit Angkor Thom, the famous walled city and see the many temples within its borders, including the fascinating Bayon temple with its many magnificent faces smiling out.
Day 3 Siem Reap: Hidden Temples with Temple Blessing & Phare Circus
This morning you will explore the hidden trails of Angkor as you set off by bicycle along ancient city walls and through hidden jungle temples, often free from other visitors due to their remote accessibility. After a delicious lunch overlooking the royal bathing pool of Sra Srang, your guide will then take you to an active temple, where you will experience the ceremony “Srouch Tec”, which roughly translates into “pour water”, as a monk washes away your sins and bad luck as he chants in ancient Pali. This evening you will be treated to a unique acrobatic and artistic performance by the Cambodian 'Phare Ponleu Selpak' Circus. Literally translated as ''the brightness of the arts'', this Artistic and Social Centre has been running as a non-profit association since 1994, and was founded by a group of young ex-refugees from Battambang Province.
Day 4 Siem Reap - Phnom Penh: City Highlights
You will catch a flight to Phnom Penh this morning. Once you’ve freshened up this afternoon you will set off on a tour of the city. After being destroyed by the Khmer Rouge in the 1970s, Cambodia’s capital city is now a thriving epicentre. Sitting on the banks of the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers with wonderful crumbling colonial architecture, it’s a city spinning into the future. This morning head to the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum where our guide will explain the history of the Khmer Rouge and walk you through the different museum displays. You then continue on to the Choeung Ek Memorial, the site of one of the country’s many killing fields. This sobering visit offers an important insight into Cambodia’s tragic and very recent history. After returning to the hotel to freshen up you will set off on your private food tour to discover some of Phnom Penh’s best kept secrets, as you sample your way through some of the city’s most celebrated culinary delights.

Positive Impact of this Trip
Making a Difference
Community Tourism
People and local communities have always been at the heart of Wild Frontiers and the travel experiences we offer. Through community tourism we have the opportunity to generate real positive impact, supporting people we visit through sustainable local development, and in turn help to alleviate poverty and protect culture and environments in often more vulnerable destinations. While doing so, our clients gain richer travel experiences and more meaningful connections with the people they meet.
Conservation and Climate Action
As a travel company, we hold a responsibility to minimise our environmental footprint and contribute to sustainability, and work closely with local communities to support their efforts. By implementing initiatives such as carbon measuring, tree-planting, reducing single-use plastic and promoting eco-friendly practices, we can help mitigate the negative impacts of tourism on fragile ecosystems and local communities. Additionally, prioritising conservation efforts helps preserve natural habitats and wildlife, ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy the wonders of our planet.
Wild Frontiers Foundation
The Wild Frontiers Foundation aims to provide a platform to create awareness, raise money and deliver funding to projects in countries where we operate as a travel company. Through the foundation, we are able to channel money into grass roots projects, which we have either established ourselves or support through charity partners. These include initiatives focused around education, the empowerment of local people and community conservation.
