The landscape is a mixture of rivers and woodlands, meaning there is an excellent variety of game found here, including an astonishing abundance of predators. Visitors can also enjoy seasonal elephant and zebra migrations, fantastic birds and good variety of antelope and plains game, including big herds of lechwe who love splashing through the floodplains. The majority of camps in this area offer land based activities year round, however, if water levels permit then the ancient Selinda Spillway can be canoed on overnight camping expeditions which is a wonderful way to spend some time.

Encounter huge herds of elephant
Roam the wetlands to see herds of Elephants and Carmine bee-eaters, which can often be spotted nesting on the banks of the river. Thousands of birds which migrate here during the green season as one of the most remote and exclusive areas of Botswana.
Search for Africa's apex predator
See the African wild dogs of this region roaming the wetlands whilst they stalk their prey. Visit the wetlands between July and August for a chance to see the pups leaving their dens for the first time!
