Covering nearly 44,000 hectares and lying to the west of Lahad Datu (Sabah's fourth largest town), it has been recognised as one of the world's most complex ecosystems, and one of its richest conservation areas. Blessed with a collection of beautiful waterfalls and pools, as well as ancient Kadazandusun burial sites, the area is a paradise for bird watchers, with 270 species of birds having being recorded here and a wonderful 300 metre long and 27 metre high canopy walkway providing unparalleled access to the forest canopy.
