Casa Oaxaca is a 17th century colonial mansion that has been converted into a boutique hotel with only nine rooms. Superbly located in the centre of Oaxaca, the property is considered to be one of the best lodging options in town. There is a leafy interior courtyard with an outdoor, kidney-shaped pool and a stone temazcal hut, or “Mayan sauna”, as well as a rooftop terrace enjoying panoramic views of the largely flat city. The rooms and suites are large an elegantly designed with high ceilings, tiled flooring and traditional Oaxacan upholstery. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful with contemporary art adorning the limestone walls. Casa Oaxaca's restaurant just down the street serves Mediterranean and local cuisine plus there is an outside bar and additional services like massages or yoga lessons can be requested at the hotel.
