Ol Malo House, Laikipia Wildlife Reserve

The beautifully designed Ol Malo House is set on a cliff edge and is available to book on an exclusive use basis or can be shared by two independent groups. The house has six comfortable bedrooms; all are en-suite and have wonderful views out across the escarpment. Each room has their own unique style, with certain rooms being better for families owing to their proximity to one another. The main area of the lodge consists of an open-sided lounge and bar area which looks out across the swimming pool. Informality is the order of the day at Ol Malo House, with guests welcome to help themselves to drinks and many an evening is spent in the lounge with a cooler of drinks and chatting with the owners Andrew and Chyulu about their life in the bush. There is a separate outdoor dining area to the side of the lodge and dinners under the stars are a regular feature of life at Ol Malo. A huge choice of activities awaits guests with game drives, guided walks, horse-riding, camel treks, fly-camping and swimming in the river all on offer. For a different perspective, helicopter trips can also be arranged at an additional cost.
