The Laxmi Niwas Palace is a wonderful boutique, heritage hotel which was constructed in a period of four years completed in 1902 A.D. Its marble courtyards, magnificent halls, canopied balconies adorned with intricate filigree, stone and wood lattice work and interior frescoes and mural paintings in gold were all executed by the hereditary craftsmen of Bikaner. The rooms are spacious, elegant and evocative, with four-poster beds and antique furniture, and there are two wonderful restaurants to choose from, both with excellent food, an atmospheric bar and a lovely pool in the charming garden.
