Considered to be the most luxurious of all southern Amazonian ecolodges in Peru, the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica is located along the steep banks of the Amazon River tributary of Madre de Dios River inside a private ecological reserve. The lodge has 35 cabins, 3 of which are suites with luxurious furnishings, and offers the most high-end amenities abd facilities of the lodges in this part of the Peruvian Amazon. With the aid of local guides, guests can expect to explore the rainforest via jungle treks, canoe excursions and along the Canopy Walkway, a series of 7 hanging bridges suspended nearly 100 feet (30 metres) above the ground. After the intense experience of exploring the Amazon, sunset can be enjoyed over the river. In between the daily itinerary of excursions, local, Amazonian food can be enjoyed under rustic lantern-light and the diverse sounds of the jungle.
