Only a few minutes’ walk from the Shores of Galilee is the boutique Scots Hotel. A grassy oasis surrounds the pool which leads out onto the beach, providing an atmosphere of calmness and tranquility. The hotel is an excellent blend of Israeli and Scottish heritage brought together to create a luxurious and unique stay. The building is restored from a 19th century hospital by a Scottish surgeon named Dr. David Watt Torrance, the first hospital in Tiberias. The rooms are located in two wings and are authentic, consisting of a single large space constructed from basalt rock and a high ceiling. The combination of Israeli cuisine with Galilean cooking tradition and influences from Scotland contributes to a flavour-rich culinary experience, turning every meal at the terrace restaurant into an unforgettable gourmet journey. Local produce and herbs grown in the hotel gardens are used in many dishes. The hotel also has an on-site Spa using a prestigious collection of premium bath and body care products exclusively developed for the Scots Hotel.
