The famous Chobe Game Lodge is one of the original lodges in the park and its only permanent lodge. Whilst relatively large for a safari lodge with 47 rooms, the area of the lodge itself is huge, so guests never feel overrun or crowded and there are plenty of places enjoy some private time. All of the rooms face out to the Chobe River and have air conditioning, complimentary mini-bars, en-suite bathrooms and lovely private decking areas which are a great place to relax with a book in between game drives. The rooms are all very comfortable with modern furnishings but if looking for added luxury, the four suites boast their own lounge areas and private plunge pools. The main part of the lodge has no fewer than six decking areas, ideal for a spot of ad-hoc game viewing, as well as a lovely swimming pool. The lodge is unique in Botswana in that it has a number of electric game viewing vehicles and boats, also making it one of the most eco-friendly lodges in the park. Morning and afternoon game drives, as well as post-breakfast and sunset boat cruises are offered here.
