Best View
Hands down has to be watching the sunrise at Angkor Wat in Siem Reap. The shades of pink and red reflect off of the pond in front of the temples so beautifully.

Best Night’s Accommodation
Avani+ Luang Prabang. The hotel is quaint with wonderful staff and service that make you feel at home. The Avani is in a great location right downtown close to the city’s night market.
Best Activity/Excursion
I’m stuck between two experiences. One would be diving into the sparkling turquoise waters of the Kwang Si Waterfalls in Luang Prabang. I had never seen fresh water so blue before. I also thoroughly enjoyed biking through Thailand’s former capital, Ayutthaya, where I got to see the famous reclining Buddha and Buddha head wrapped in tree roots.
Favourite Moments
Getting to know our amazing guides and sharing stories with them about their home countries. For instance, how the recent changing of king’s in Thailand is affecting the people, and what it was like growing up in the aftermath of the Khmer Rouge. My trip wouldn’t have been the same without their insights.
Any Tips for Travelers
Don’t be afraid to travel in the offseason. I went to Southeast Asia during the rainy season but only had rain maybe three days out of a two-week trip. The main sights, like the Grand Palace in Bangkok, were a lot less crowded than when I visited them in high season. And take your Water-to-Go bottle!
Best Souvenir
A purse made from recycled tires made in Cambodia.
